Holy Days

"Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you."   Exodus 31:13

The Bible commands the observance of the holy days set by the Most High. Some mistakenly believe that we no longer need to observe these Holy Days or follow God's other laws, offering excuses like, "The feast days are Old Testament laws and are no longer applicable" or "These laws cannot be observed outside of Jerusalem or in modern times." Do not be misled by such false statements, which are devoid of truth. The Bible clearly teaches that the feast days were observed during the Old Testament, the New Testament, and throughout the time of Christ and the early church..

Acts 15:21 "For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day."

1 Corinthians 5:7 "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:
1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

Christ himself kept the feast days of the Most high as commanded.  Therefore SO SHOULD WE..

John 2:23 "Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did."

John 10:22  "And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
John 10:23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch."

The scriptures warn us about those that sinfully teach against the commandments of the scriptures causing some to sin against the Most High.

1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"
1 Timothy 4:2 "Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;"

Feast Day Calendar 2024/2025

This calendar is downloadable and contains all of the Most High's feast days correctly calculated and kept on their days according to the holy scriptures.

Weekly Sabbath

The Weekly Sabbath is observed every seventh day of the week, from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. Scriptures instruct us to rest and refrain from our usual daily activities on this day, which commemorates the six days of creation, with the Most High resting on the seventh day (Exodus 20:8-11).

New Moon

The word "moon" comes from the word "month." A "new moon" marks the beginning of a new month, and the scriptures instruct us to observe this day as a sabbath. This is supported by Isaiah 66:23, Numbers 10:10, and Psalms 81:3

Passover

The Passover, also known as the Feast of Unleavened Bread, is a holy day that commemorates the Israelites' departure from ancient Egypt. This event is detailed in Exodus chapter 12 and Leviticus 23:5-8.

Memorial of Simon

This day is observed as a memorial to honor Simon of the Maccabean family, who led the Israelites to victory over the Greek oppressors. This event is found in 1 Maccabees chapter 13 (Apocrypha).

Pentecost

Pentecost, also known as the Feast of Firstfruits, occurs fifty days after the weekly Sabbath following the last day of Passover/Feast of Unleavened Bread. It commemorates the offering of the firstfruits to the Most High and acknowledges Christ as the firstfruits of the resurrection. This is outlined in Leviticus 23:10-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:20.

Memorial of Blowing of Trumpets

This Feast day occurs on the first day of the 7th month and commemorates the blowing of the trumpets to call and assemble the children of Israel. Leviticus 23:24-25.

Day of Atonement

On this holy day, atonement and repentance is acknowledged for transgression against the Most High's commandments.  It is observed by a mandatory "dry" fast from sundown to sundown.  Leviticus 23:27-32.

Feast of Tabernacles

Celebrates the history of the Israelites dwelling in booths (tents) while in the wilderness after leaving ancient Egypt.  This in turn signifies the Most High dwelling within us.  Leviticus 23:34-43, 2 Corinthians 6:16.

Feast of Dedication

Commemorates the rebuilding, cleansing and re-dedication of the holy sanctuary of Israel that was destroyed by the Greeks.  Judas and Simon of the Maccabean family, were leaders of Israel that fought heroically against the Greeks to resist bondage and Hellenism for the children of Israel.

1 Maccabees Chapter 4

Memorial of Nicanor

Commemorates the destruction of the General Nicanor, a chief enemy to the children of Israel during the time of Greek Hellenization.  1 Maccabees 7:46-50.

Memorial of Purim

Purim is the celebration to remember the Israelite heroes Mordecai and Esther.  Through the power of the Most high and their bravery, they helped to reverse the plot to destroy the Israelites during the time of Persian rule.  Esther Chapters 9 and 10.
